PMS

Before coming to the NPHC I had chronic sinus infections and was on 3-4 rounds of antibiotics per year, I felt generally run down and never felt well. I was cold all the time and had pretty severe PMS symptoms. I slept very poorly, maybe 2-3 hours a night. When I did get up I was exhausted and felt tired all day; it was difficult to make it through the workday. I had poor concentration and headaches all the time. When I got home from work I needed to rest before I could even make a meal. Every night dragged out until I was able to get to bed.

After 6 months on a program at the NPHC I no longer needed medication for sinus infections or sleep. I haven't been sick ONCE, have NO sinus pressure and NO headaches. I started to sleep well through the night and I work up feeling rest for the first time that I can remember in a LONG time. One of the best things is that I am not cold anymore! My energy level has increased substantially and I have increased confidence, increased thoughts process, and now exercise most days. You can actually SEE my muscles now and I feel great! I come home from work able to cook and do things around the house, and am much more productive. My skin is much smoother with decreasing problems with breakouts. I feel terrific and have been recommending this program to everybody I know!

My health concerns were insomnia, stomach problems, PMS, fibroid, tingling in my fingers, and aches in joints, muscle and lower back pain. Before coming to NPHC I had severe stomach cramps every morning when I awoke and generally after eating breakfast. I had difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep. I found out late last fall that I have a fibroid that was possibly causing extremely heavy bleeding during my menses. Eventually it was either wear Depends or not go out of the house. For at least 2 days during my cycle. I had tingling and numbness in my fingers. My whole body ached when I got out of bed each morning. A thinning disc was causing my lower back pain.

Tests concluded that I had food allergies to wheat and dairy casing my stomach problems. I had toxins in my blood due mostly to harsh cleaning chemicals. Lack of vital nutrients and enzymes most likely led to my severe PMS, periodontal disease, insomnia and fibroid. Since starting the program at NPHC in February 2002, my stomach problems have subsided. Change in diet and adding supplements have helped to clean out my GI tract where my allergies thrived. Adding fresh fruits and vegetables to my diet has resulted in less PMS problems, and less bleeding during my menstrual cycle. Taking various supplements and eating healthier and drinking lots of water have been major factors in how quickly my body has healed. I've taken sugar and caffeine out of my diet. I don't buy processed foods. I've gone from a "junk food junkie" at home to eating bowls of fresh fruit, steamed vegetables, baking chicken, and salmon and stir frying vegetables.

I don't have as much numbness or tingling in my fingers. My body doesn't ache when I get out of bed in the morning. I don't wear Depends ANY MORE!! You guys have really helped me get my life back!

Peri-menopause

I came originally to the Natural Path Center to get off my medications from my medical doctor - I was taking Synthroid for hypothyroidism, Wellbutrin for depression, Protonix for acid reflux - and was suffering from extreme hormone imbalances. I also wanted to lose about 40 lbs. and raise my energy level.

Since being here (about two months) I have lost 15 lbs and my workouts are no longer exhausting. Physically I feel wonderful! I am not sleepy all of the time and my energy level is way up! I have decreased my Wellbutrin and Protonix by half and I am calmer, more positive, and I want to live life more. I don't feel like a failure and even though I going through a stressful time, I feel like I'm handling it good.

Menopause

I came into the NPC to decrease and eliminate my hot flashes (I have 20-30 daily), improve my digestion by eliminating my abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea cramping and gallbladder pain, reduce the amount of supplements I was taking, increase my energy and decrease my pain and migraine headaches. The process took a few months but I have reached most of my goals.

I no longer have the wrenching gut aches, diarrhea, bloating or gallbladder pain and my energy levels have increased. I feel generally better all over. My hot flashes have decreased significantly, down to 3-4 a day and they only last a few seconds. I had migraine headaches 1-2 per month and now I haven't had one in the last month and only 1 in the last 2 months and it wasn't as severe as in the past. I have learned to pay more attention to my body's response to what I eat and to avoid those things that - even though they may taste good - will cause me discomfort, bloating, or sluggishness later. For me it is no longer worth it to eat some things that might "taste" good and feel yucky later. Now I am looking forward to increasing my good health.

HRT, Digestion & Memory - "I couldn't be happier!"

I originally came to the NPHC with digestion problems, a history of heart murmur from a childhood illness and was on HRT for 5 years. My memory was also a big problem, as I didn't seem to have any!

I've been coming here since May 2002 and have noticed tremendous change in my life. When I first met with Dr. Chad, I was totally amazed with the analysis of blood, saliva and urine results. I had never had such a thorough exam to search out problem prevention as well as diet change, exercise, etc. After a year of steady improvement with the digestive complaints and memory problems, we switched our focus to the HRT - my goal being to rid myself of what was now the 6th year of the HRT drugs. NO ONE had explained the side effects of these drugs to me and that they were most likely the cause of my slowly elevating blood pressure; now, my medical doctor wanted to prescribe me blood pressure medication!

Guess what??! I have been off the HRT drugs since June 2003 and all the supplements used to help rebalance my hormones naturally (I weaned off the drugs slowly as we used natural therapies and supplements to help my body compensate and rebalance my hormones) - I don't have ANY symptoms - no hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, anxiety - NOTHING! With Dr. Chad's good testing, counseling, etc., not only have I reached all my goals, my blood pressure is now 131/79 and my pulse is 70! I couldn't be happier!

When I do slip on different parts of my program, like taking time to relax when I eat and chewing my food thoroughly, I'm reminded of my goals and how to get back on course. I'm so grateful to have the wise support of Dr. Chad Oler, and I like the hugs too!

My life before was miserable. I felt like I was dying inside and out - that is no exaggeration. I was feeling low after being through multiple cleansing at another clinic. When I called Dr Chad, I could barely walk from the kitchen to the couch; I was very weak and depressed. It seemed like I had few options and felt very needy. Dr Chad immediately evaluated my needs for the short term. (Until I could come for my consult appointment) I followed their directions & began my upward turn! Health Improvements since starting at the NPHC (3 months):
1. No migraine headaches!
2. Off all of my medications except eye drops
3. Only occasional "garden variety" headache (rare!)
4. Decreased weight - I've lost 40 pounds!
5. Decreased hot flashes

7. Decreased cravings for sugar and fat
8. No blurred vision.
9. Decreased itchy eyelids
10. No headaches after eating
11. Cracked fingers heal now
12. Decrease in snapping at back of my left knee

15. No crawling feeling in my legs
16. Increased stamina
17. Softer skin
18. Increased ability to walk, bend, kneel and stretch
19. Sleeping better
20. Much less depression
21. Decreased bra size circumference
22. Decreased indigestion
23. Decreased constipation
24. Decreased fatigue and weakness
25. Increased zest for life!

And these are only the ones I can think of off the top of my head!
